Hello Copious Notes readers! I bring you this early Tuesday post to let you all know that I am *still* trying to get my body back into the groove of the real life, consisting of work and little time at home. Briefly, my weekend was long and I discovered first-hand that the streets of Boston are impossible to navigate, even with my trusty TomTom affixed to my windshield.
Many miles driven and rest stops later, my body is still trying to recover. I am also greatly dissapointed in my writing progress last week (read: zero progress). I know I set ambitious goals but at the same time I accomplished nothing. Perhaps I’m putting too much pressure on myself to write? I’m not really sure.
Last night was productive in another sense though and I believe though that my new toy should help get my writing in gear. I have a new ‘typewriter’. Hehe.
I got nothing done writing-wise last week, either. I have been moving, and that’s not good for working. And I’m soooo close to finishing a draft. It makes me sick that I don’t have time to just sit down and do it!
Beautiful! I have the first edition of your toy (when it first went all flat like that). Unfortunately the build in camera came with the second edition.
My friend’s have Tom-Tom and it tried to drive us into Lake Michigan. Oh, and they gave it a woman’s name. 😀
Thanks for the camaraderie post Colby! I know what it’s like to be “this close” and have it take so long. My issue is that I’ve only just begun and I feel like I hit a wall already.
Melanie, thanks about my iMac. You can get the iSight cameras off of eBay if you really wanted one. That is cool about the TomTom. I use the woman’s voice also since it’s the most natural sounding. The men sound too much like computers.
Wow, you’ve gotten some great new “toys” recently. But I can’t knock that when they go so far in helping write. 🙂
Dude.
If I didn’t have a shiny little MacBook, I’d be all over that.
I can empathize with the slow week…it seems whenever I start to make progress with my WIP, a really important writing assignment comes up and I have to work on that. I haven’t written today or yesterday. It’s not that I don’t have time, or ideas, but I just don’t have the juice.
*weeps*
Janna & A, thank you both! The iMac is sweet, but I’ve only blogged on it so far. I’m hoping to change that on Friday, my next day off.
